Frequently asked questions from owners

How can I give my contact persons access to my booking calendar?
By inviting them to DiBooq under “Shares”. Your contact will receive a verification email. After that, all he/she has to do is download the app and accept your contact request. If your contact has already registered with DiBooq with the email address you provided, DiBooq will show you this and he/she will see your request directly in the app.

Can my contacts book directly into my calendar?
Yes, as long as your contact is an agency and has Direct Booking rights, they can book into your calendar without your prior confirmation. Direct Booking is active by default. If you want to deactivate or reactivate it, just click on the Direct Booking icon which you can find under Approvals -> Contact details -> Calendar approvals. If Direct Booking is active (blue icon), bookings will only be made under the booking conditions you set.

What is the difference between DiBooq for agencies and DiBooq for owners?
Our product for agencies is a desktop application and has an interface that has been developed and designed primarily for companies that work with multiple owners. For owners, a mobile app is available to meet their needs. By the way, the mobile app has a separate interface for friends, family members and regular guests who can be invited by the owner.

What happens if a contact rejects my cancellation request?
You can revoke your cancellation request and everything will remain the same. If you do not want to do this, we ask you to contact the guest or the agency directly to resolve the conflict between them.

How many contacts can I invite to DiBooq?
You can invite as many contacts as you want, following the motto: “The more contacts, the better the booking of my vacation property!”

In which languages is DiBooq available?
Currently in English, Spanish and German. However, we will make more languages available as soon as possible.

Where can I see which contact can see which information of the booking (e.g. turnover)?
Your contacts can only see details of bookings that concern them. So a regular guest will not see price, name or notes of your bookings except for the booking they booked with you via DiBooq. In addition, friends/family and regular guests cannot see which booking type it is (own occupancy, unavailable period, option, booking).

What can you find under news?
In news we inform you about all current and past activities. It is divided into two sections: To-dos and Information.
To-dos are all activities that require an action from you (ongoing requests from tenants or agencies).
Information are all activities that do not require any action from you (e.g. final confirmed bookings, running options, confirmed change requests, etc.).

What is a request?
Requests can be made on the occupancy types “option” and “booking” and occur in different cases:
Requests from tenants: your friends, family members and regular guests must always make a request first. You can find this in the tab “News => to-dos”. The request will be converted to a confirmed option by you, if you have deposited a price proposal and accepted the request.
Requests from agencies: If an agency does not have direct booking rights for your property, they cannot book directly into your calendar or make changes, but must first submit a request to you. You can find this request in the tab “News => to-dos”. Only after you have confirmed the request, the option or booking will be bindingly entered into the system.

What is an option?
With an option you can reserve a certain period of time on behalf of a guest. He then has 48 or 72 hours to convert the option into a booking. You can define the length of the option period in the booking conditions. If the option expires, it will be cancelled automatically. In this case there is no booking.

What is a booking?
With a booking you can record that your vacation property has been bindingly rented in a period and this has been confirmed by you and the tenant.

What is a owner occupancy?
A self-occupancy serves to mark a period in which you want to use your vacation property yourself. During this time, the property is considered blocked and no one else can reserve or book the period.

What is a not available period?
A not available period indicates a period of time when your property is not available for rent. This can be for various reasons, such as a renovation or a major repair.

How can I delete my DiBooq account?
If you scroll all the way down under Profile in the DiBooq app, you will find the menu item “Delete account”.
If for any reason it is not possible to delete through this method (for example, if you can no longer log into the app), contact us at support@dibooq.com to request the manual deletion of the account.
Please note that deleting your DiBooq account will also permanently delete all information you have entered into DiBooq. It is not possible to restore the information.
